Sestri Ponente is one of the areas of Genoa with the most active companies and shipyards on the western side of the city: people who come here for work often need to stay longer than a weekend, and a hotel gets uncomfortable and expensive after the first week. Casa Brighella is built with that in mind too — a 70 sqm apartment with a separate bedroom, a living room and a kitchen, 5 minutes on foot from Sestri Ponente station and 5 minutes by car from the airport.
It's not a cramped studio for a one-night stop: there's room to hang up your clothes, cook without making do with a camping stove, and shut yourself in the bedroom if your roommate snores. If the assignment runs long, the apartment holds up well even for a month.

Check-in, check-out and length of stay
Check-in is from 3pm to 7pm and isn't self-service, so it needs to be arranged in advance. If your flight or shift means you'll arrive later, late check-in is available for a €25 surcharge — message us beforehand and we'll find a time that works. Check-out is by 10am.
The minimum stay is 2 nights, but the apartment is really built for longer stays: a few weeks, even a month. For stays like that, contact us directly before booking — we can work out check-in times that fit better around shift work.
What a longer stay costs
For long work stays there's no fixed weekly or monthly rate: message us on WhatsApp or by email with your dates and we'll put together a quote built around your actual length of stay, usually the same day.
If you need documentation for a company expense report, mention it as soon as you reach out: we'll sort out together what we can provide before you book, so nothing catches you off guard later.
Why booking directly makes sense for a work trip
Booking and Airbnb are both fine options, and you're welcome to book through them if you'd rather have that guarantee. But for a three-week stay, booking directly is almost always the better choice for both sides: no intermediary commission pushed into the price, a rate built around your real length of stay, and a direct contact if something comes up during your stay — a question about the washing machine, or an issue that needs sorting the same day.

The area
Sestri Ponente is the Genoese neighbourhood most historically tied to industry: shipyards and companies in the industrial area of western Genoa employ a large part of the district, and it's no accident that many work trips end up here. The apartment is 5 minutes on foot from the train station, handy if your workplace is reachable by train from another stop on the line, and 5 minutes by car from Cristoforo Colombo airport, useful if the trip involves frequent flights home.
Around the apartment there are supermarkets, pharmacies and restaurants with honest prices, without the markup of the touristy parts of town — a real advantage when you're on a work trip for weeks and don't want to spend every evening like you're on holiday.
